    The check engine light popped on on my VW Passat so I took it in too get it fixed. While there I mentioned too the service writer that I sometimes feel a jerking motion with the transmission so if they could check it for me since my warranty was going too expire shortly. He informs me that they charge a $220 diagnosis fee if I want them too check the transmission, I said ok and authorized it. A couple days go by and I call the service advisor for a update. He tells me what is going on with the check engine light and that they will need a little more time too fix and I say ok. I then ask about the transmission I asked too diag, he tells me too properly diag it they will need too pull the transmission pan and do a fluid change for $750. I declined the service because I know it's way cheaper too do it elsewhere. My question then was ok if you say that I would have too do a $750 "service" and drop the pan too diag it why am I being charged $220 diag fee? His answer was $220 is their standard diag fee and too properly check the trans they would need too pull the pan and diag if there is a issue or not. I just feel that I should have been told about the $750 trans diag fee before I agreed too the $220 and then charged the $220, So if can't properly diag without spending $750 why even charge or quote the $220?

    I called to book my appointment. The person that helped me was awesome, and when I got there the morning of my appointment, which I was a little early for the first drop off of the day, I was invited in to sit and wait. I wanted to see the new cars though, haha. Harold checked me in and helped me with the service items that needed attention. I caught the shuttle with Chris from dealership to home and back for pick up. That guy is amazing, he knows all the ways around, like everywhere. I also like the 20k carefree maintenance program!

    I consistently receive great customer service and quality maintenance/repair work at Honolulu VW. The service staff at the counter are always friendly, helpful and professional. Communication with service staff is excellent. The shuttle service to and from my home while the work is being accomplished is greatly appreciated.
